The debut of last year showed operators with a new formula exhibition, a format that has allowed us to create a strong platform in the Russian market. “The good results of the first edition allow us to look to May of 2014 with optimism,“ said Gerald Böse, President of Koelnmesse. “We are counting on a sharp increase, especially in the stream of visitors, which will allow us to put Rooms Moscow / Russian MIFs in the exhibition calendar as one of the most important events for the furniture industry and furniture.“ Rooms Moscow / MIFs plays a very important role within the international strategy of Koelnmesse. The commitment of the institution abroad German trade fair is a key pillar of its business. The consensus collected by the dual event since its inception are due to the choice of creating a strong bond between the purely commercial function of the event and a full program of events, which has received strong praise from both exhibitors and visitors. Added to this is the fact that we are talking about a rather lively market, a condition that made it feel like your own, beneficial effect on the demand for exhibition space for the 2014 edition, which for some months has exceeded the results achieved in 2013. Russia is in fact one of the world that records the highest growth rates. The evaluations of the Competence Center East of VDM, the German association of manufacturers of furniture, are clear: furniture purchases in 2012 increased by 11 percent compared to a year earlier, reaching a value of around 12 billion U.S. dollars. Thanks to the growth of incomes and a question that in recent years has strongly positive can be expected a significant growth in the coming years. A question of quality mobile content and specific aesthetic for which Russia is heavily dependent on imports, which in 2012 amounted to 54 percent of the total furniture purchased in the federation. The news will be collected, as happened in the first edition, in Hall 3 of the fairgrounds. This confirms the rational layout of the offer put in place in 2013, organized by “thematic areas“. In the lobby will be presented 13 companies that produce “mobile in general,“ in the lobby 14 “furniture and bedroom area,“ in the lobby 15 “sub-contracting, interior design and textiles for furniture.“
