- Flexible polyurethane foam
For decades, ORSA foam has been committed to reducing waste and adopting sustainable solutions through the use of H and R agglomerates.
Since the early 1980s, agglomerate H has marked the first concrete step toward a more sustainable economy, enabling the company to recover polyurethane foam waste and turn it into a reusable material for a variety of applications. This pioneering approach has enabled ORSA foam to decrease its environmental impact and optimize resources.

Agglomerate R: a new life for polyurethane
In 2021, the Gorla Minore-based company introduced agglomerate R, which is another step forward in sustainability. This comes from a supply chain that recovers discarded mattresses, extracts the polyurethane and sanitizes it. In this way ORSA foam is able to use this second raw material and turn it into a new product, ready to be reused. This process allows polyurethane to be given new life, closing the production cycle and contributing to waste reduction.

Increasingly circular production
ORSA foam's future goal is to expand the use of R-agglomerate to the comfort sector as well, where it can offer sustainable solutions for upholstery and high-quality products. For years ORSA foam has been dedicated to making its production increasingly circular, firmly believing that every resource can be recovered and reintroduced into the production cycle for a more sustainable future.
