The General Assembly of Aipef, the Italian Association of Flexible Expanded Polyurethane producers, which brings together the major Italian producers of polyurethane in blocks, unanimously elected Marco Pelucchi as the new president. Marco Pelucchi, General manager of Pelma, a company in Bassano Bresciano, one of the main Italian producers of polyurethane foam, takes the place of Luigi Olmo, who held this position for 10 years, resigned "Not only for personal reasons", as he himself declared, “but also to feed the work team with new life”.
“I am truly honored to have been elected by my colleagues”, declared the new President Marco Pelucchi. "It is my intention to operate in continuity with what Luigi Olmo has done to date, who has always encouraged us to work as a team, to increase the number of associated companies by making Aipef a point of reference in Italy and in Europe". Italy is in fact one of the major European producers of polyurethane and Marco Pelucchi will join the Board of Europur in June, the European Association of Flexible Expanded Polyurethane Manufacturers in which Aipef has always distinguished itself.
Just at Europur in Paris, a few years ago, Marco Pelucchi presented the Poliuretano-è project, an innovative all-Italian program to promote correct information on the countless qualities and potential of polyurethane foam, which had met with considerable success among the participants of the different countries.
