A special effect that inspires creativity

OECE produces a line of special effects for glass that has been specifically created to offer new aesthetic solutions to craftsmen, architects and industrial furniture manufacturers.
OECE makes now available to architects, designers and artists a new extraordinary special effect for the finishing and decoration of any object or glass or plastic surface. “Magnetic storm“ effect is an original and versatile solution to obtain drawings and graphic patterns directly on glass and plastic material, by exploiting his special sensitivity to magnetic fields.
The pigment used for these paints consists of metallic particles which orient themselves in the direction of the magnetic flux. The three-dimensional decorative effect only appears in areas subjected to the action of a magnetic field, which may be restricted only to certain areas of the object to be painted. The orientation of metallic crystals creates a differentiation of the reflection of the light and the resulting visual effect gives a remarkable illusion of perspective. The color shows a metallic appearance, whose color variants are countless: it is in fact possible to add a series of special pigments to the gray tone of the base, to obtain a wide range of bright colors that exalt the three-dimensional effect.
The application is normally performed with normal spraying equipment used in painting. The effect can be overcoated with a solvent-based finish, matt or glossy. The creative expression of the protagonists of design finds a new set of unusual colors to attract new suggestions.
