- Linear actuators
“Design meets movement“ is one of the Linak slogans, a concept which ultimately is emerging among the major brands of Italian design, especially in the office environment. In recent years, in fact, the attention to health and the correct posture of those sitting at the desk several hours a day has become increasingly pronounced and therefore the height adjustable shelves and sit-stand desks are also affirming in Italy.
It’s important to underline that abroad, and especially in Northern Europe, these work modes are active revenue for some time in the culture of the management of workspaces.
Linak, world reference company in the production and development of electric linear actuators and lifting columns for worktops, with Italian branch in Buccinasco (MI), since the beginning has studied devices able to optimize various aspects of everyday life in the office, improving the employees’ posture and well-being in general.
Today there are numerous furnishing and design solutions for the office that use Linak lifting columns. Many companies have already adopted these systems within their own productions. The rest of the applications are numerous and allow you to preserve the design beauty significantly increasing the functionality.
For example, the Linak lifting columns can also be inserted into wooden legs with an inclined design, allowing the worktops to be lowered and raised to adapt to various sizes even in refined and avant-garde furnishing creations.
Some companies that successfully apply Linak lifting columns
Among the leading companies in the sector that have chosen Linak solutions, we can find Estel Group, Fantoni, IVM and Tecno.
EVOlution, by Estel Group, is an integration of the Evo Sit & Stand system with Linak lifting columns and drawer units, open compartments, file racks, front screen panels.
Born from the collaboration between Fantoni and Metrica, Woods is an innovative project for the office that sees the use of solid wood in the beech and oak versions. The leg, whose inclined design gives the table a refined appearance, consists of two telescopic cylindrical elements, one of which in wood. Inside it is placed the electric Linak mechanism that allows an easy adjustment of the height of the plane.
The Clavis sit-stand table by Tecno is instead the synthesis of the increasingly agile, flexible and adaptable contemporary office. The design is from the Tecno Project Center with Daniele del Missier.
