After the announcement of the closing of the purchase of Candy Group, Haier Europe reorganizes the commercial activities in Italy starting from the appointment of Alessio Villa as Country Manager for Italy, which will report directly to Semmy Levit, Chief Commercial Officer of Haier Europe .
In addition to the sales organization, Alessio Villa will also be responsible for the Product and Communication Marketing Team, managing and coordinating the Haier, Hoover and Candy brands.
The Italian commercial structure will then be organized around five channel and brand sales directors: Federico Mangiacotti maintains the position of Market Director for the Haier brand with the aim of developing Distribution and Market Share of the premium brand, Emiliano Garofalo as Sales Director of the Retail Channel specialized for the Hoover and Candy brands, Stefano Stazio as Sales Director of the Traditional Mobile Channel for the Candy and Hoover brands, Alessandro La Malfa as Sales Manager for the Online Channel, GDO and Indiretti for the Hoover and Candy brands and Mirko Poggi as Sales Director of the Sell Out Team.
Alessio Villa, born in 1974, has a growth path that has led him to hold a series of positions of responsibility. In 2014 he joined the Candy Group, initially with the aim of developing the Business Free Standing. Later he gradually assumed the commercial coordination of all Italy, both for the Built-In and Small Domestic Appliances.
Haier Europe aims to expand into the IoT applied to smart appliances
Founded in 1989, Haier Europe is part of the Qingdao Haier group, a world leader in the home appliance industry.
The Qingdao Haier Group today has a global market share based on volumes of 15.1% in large domestic appliances, 22.7% in free-standing refrigeration appliances and 19.8% in household cleaning appliances (source : Euromonitor International) and global turnover close to € 40 billion.
The vision of Haier is to become the global leader in the IoT applied to smart appliances: the synergies resulting from the exchange of innovation and know-how between the two companies in the field of smart appliances, will contribute to the expansion of Haier in this segment both in Europe than in Italy.
Italy is also one of the strategic countries for Haier to become one of the first three players in terms of market shares, thanks to the new Brand & Product Strategy, increasingly aligned with the needs of Retail. Since January 2019, after the merger with the activities of Candy Group, Haier Europe is in fifth place in Western Europe.
