Frattini has been producing sanitary taps and fittings and shower systems for the bathroom and kitchen environment exclusively Made in Italy since 1958. Many new products were presented by the company at the Salone del Mobile in Milan 2024 for the bathroom environment: the Aline collection of taps and fittings in stainless steel, designed by Marco Piva and Enea, the collection of single lever mixers in chrome-plated brass designed by studio Bellucci Mazzoni Progetti. New products for the kitchen include the Giò and Borgia sink mixers, both designed by studio Bellucci Mazzoni Progetti.
Giò sink mixer: design and creativity in the kitchen
Resulting from the creativity of Guido Bellucci and Francesco Mazzoni of the Interior Design Studio Bellucci Mazzoni Progetti, Giò is a single lever kitchen mixer with an unusual and curious shape.
Its silhouette is slender (it is 35 cm high and the body diameter is 3.6 cm) and the spout can be rotated 180°. But it is the pull-out hand shower that particularly characterises Giò and was the focus of the designers' design attention. In fact, the hand shower stands out thanks to its black woven nylon spring hose, enhanced in all its extension and made a protagonist outside its usual seat, hidden inside the spout. It is about 40 cm long, allows ample movements and offers a full 360° rotation to position itself, when at rest, in a special seat equipped with a magnet. Thanks to its softness and flexibility, the Giò single-lever mixer is extremely practical: the hand shower allows a wide and specific water supply, both in the sink and for filling bulky pots.
Made of dezincified brass in compliance with the strictest environmental impact regulations, Giò is available in four colour variants: chrome, black chrome, brushed black chrome and stainless steel finish.
Borgia sink mixer: simplicity and elegance
The Borgia sink mixer, also designed by Bellucci Mazzoni Progetti, is suitable for those who appreciate the beauty of simplicity: every detail is carefully studied to simplify and make daily work in the kitchen more comfortable.
The water spout is a practical hand shower placed at the end of a spring-loaded black braided nylon hose, fixed to a support moulded at the end of a rigid horizontal spout.
Together, these two components offer the classic profile of the spout of the sink mixer, and their flexibility allows them to reach every corner of the bowl with ease. The control knob is a cylinder enhanced by a clean cut that gives it a flat frontal section: essential and ergonomic, thanks to an extremely soft cartridge when opening and closing the water, it guarantees a full and aerated jet. Made of the innovative 316L stainless steel, the Borgia mixer is not only extremely resistant and durable, but also antibacterial and hygienic.
Borgia was honoured at the Archiproducts Design Awards 2022 for its unique concept representing creativity, technology and research, with a special award also for sustainability.
Rebranding 2024: F for Family, Trust and Future
However, the Salone 2024 was also an opportunity to present the company's new logo, ready to write a new and significant chapter in its history. The new logo is proposed with a clean, soft and reassuring lettering, an 'F' that turns into the silhouette of a tap. A contemporary proposal, supported by a very direct payoff that declares the company's scope: Frattini, taps since 1958.
Michela Frattini, the company's marketing manager, explains the importance of the rebranding operation in these words: 'The new logo was conceived not only as a surname, but as a tap; in fact, the new identity declares the leadership position of Frattini, which has been able to transform its historicity into value. Logo and pay-off express the strength of authenticity through the choice of reassuring yet surprising lettering. The result is a contemporary reading of the brand, capable of communicating all the values on which its history is founded: F for Frattini but also for Future, Trust and as Family".
