Shelf, an innovative "suction shelf"
Shelf, which is part of the new Elements collection by Falmec, is an innovative "suction shelf" capable of integrating perfectly into the kitchen furnishing project.
Its peculiarities have allowed it to be awarded the Special Mention at the German Design Awards 2023 in the Excellent Product Design Kitchen category. The German Design Award 2023 makes use of a jury composed of the most influential experts from the world of academia, interior, graphic and industrial design, architecture and the media, who judge the products on the basis of parameters of quality and design functionality, accessibility and innovative scope of the product.
Thanks to the exclusive Multi-Air technology created by Falmec, the suction element of Shelf becomes part of a modular, multifunctional architecture and totally inserted in the architecture of the kitchen: it is in fact extremely thin and ultra-compact in height to fit on a shelf (120 cm long) with a thickness of only 10 cm with removable veil, and distribute the suction power in several small-sized motors.
Space for new design possibilities
The Shelf suction system can fulfill a dual function: the primary suction function is joined by the possibility of optimizing spaces with the addition of 60 and 90 cm modules, which can be positioned to the right or left of the suction element, to create new configurations custom furniture.
The structure is made entirely of black painted steel with a front profile in black satin aluminum, enhancing the thin and clean lines of its design. The shelf, in addition to being equipped with a dynamic light LED strip that extends along its entire length, can be equipped with optional accessories such as spice racks, tablet holders or other small ready-to-use utensils.
Brera: refined and essential design
The suction solution integrated into the Brera hob (in the photo) was awarded for its technological innovation and refined and essential design by Archiproducts, which assigned it an Archiproducts Design Award for the Kitchen category. Since 2016, the Archiproducts Design Awards have celebrated global design excellence by enhancing originality, research, innovation and highlighting all those products which, through new materials, shapes or functions, improve and revolutionize the quality of life.
Four cooking zones in line and the rear glass flap, which allows the hood to extract, create a single uniform body that elegantly fits into the kitchen top. Formal cleanliness, silence and efficiency are the distinguishing features of Brera, a minimal object, expression of a rational and functional design, which takes its name from the well-known district of Milan, a point of reference for Italian design in the world.
Perfectly integrated cooking and extraction
The Brera configuration allows for a continuous planar surface, a single element in which cooking and extraction are perfectly integrated thanks to a glass flap that opens automatically during operation to extract cooking vapors, closing again after use. Brera, the suction solution integrated into the hob satisfies both for its aesthetics and for its practicality: a powerful brushless motor, positioned in the lower part of the base, allows excellent suction performance with limited dimensions. The uniformity of the cooking surface, equipped with cutting-edge technology, guarantees extreme practicality in cooking and easy cleaning of the hob.
