Faber celebrates this year its 60°anniversary. Exactly on the 11 June 1955, Abramo Galassi found the Faber Plast, a company specialized in the plastic materials and synthetic resins processing. Here was invented the first suction hood: a revolutionary household appliance that changes the way to live the kitchen. Faber launches the hoods all over the world and creates the named “Hood Faber District”. Today Faber is part of the Franke Group, produces up to tree millions of hoods each year and is present in 4 continents, with 7 factories in 7 different countries. Technology, research and design to the air quality and wellbeing service are the elements having characterized the company since its born and that have granted its international success. To celebrate its 60°, the company has organized a packed calendar of events and initiatives. Last June for the project “ Borders Kitchens”, in collaboration with Elle Decor Italy, have been prepared eight windows of the Rinascente in Milano Piazza Duomo. Start point of the project is the kitchen as fantasy and contamination, the design as exchange and interaction, the world as union of geographies, cultures and identities. Up to October Faber is present to the Art Design Box, to the Expo2015 doors in Rho with 20 showcooking to discover all the Italian cocking secrets. From the typical plates to those of wellbeing, from the sweets to the street food, a series of events exploring all the tricolour cooking themes. Between the events of Expo in the City, from July to October will be present the Faber Street Food Academy, a full immersion in 10 lessons to learn all about the more worldwide famous and appreciated aliments. At last, Faber proposes a Limited Edition with its new versions of some of the more successful Faber hoods, as Veil the revolutionary hood in terms of esthetical with its upside down T shape, Arkea the first hood with lighting with colour therapy effect and “Up&Down” technology and Jolie, strong, silence and versatile, thanks to its clean and essential design.
