For over 35 years Csil has been publishing market research with data and forecasts on consumption, production and distribution of furniture, household appliances and lighting in 100 countries.

The world economy closes 2019 with growth of 3%
The world economy is set to close the year 2019 with growth of 3%, a positive rate, although one of the lowest since the global financial crisis. International trade in furniture is also suffering from the slowdown in demand and the effects of the ongoing trade wars, which obviously have an impact on industry. The manufacturing sector is experiencing declines in its growth rate in various areas of the world: from China to the United States, to European countries.
In this context, Italy recorded a 0.1% growth in GDP in the third quarter and consumption seems to be holding up as well as the climate of confidence of families.
As far as the furniture sector is concerned, some positive elements emerge and some of the main markets of interest for Italian companies are showing improvements.
