The table that became kitchen

Many novelties have been introduced to the Sicam by Linak Italia, branch of the Danish multinational specialized in linear actuators and elevator pillars.
The visitors of the demonstration were surprised particularly by Convivio, island/countertop of the industry Haute Material, enlivened by Linak elevator pillars. From the design of Giulio Iacchetti, from the know-how of Haute Material and with the aid of the Linak elevator pillars, it is born a wonderful object. Convivio is in fact an island and a countertop endowed with plate to cook, sink and filtering hood but that, when necessary, it turns him into a great table able to welcome also 10 seating positions.
To realize Convivio the tradition of the “Made in Italy“ created synergies with partner of best level. The engineering and the project optimization have been submitted to SPItech in Turin, while Linak has been the technological partner for the movement of the various components. Fundamental also the partnership with Faber which has developed on purpose the filtering hood.
For the characteristics of movement and for the involved safety standards, Convivio allows the fruition from many users and just for this reason it has been object of interest from Design for All Italia, organization that has among its aims the promotion of the “inclusive planning”.
After a careful run of evaluation, last June Convivio gained the Brand DfA-Quality, assigned “in the event of the correspondence to all the principles and of the satisfaction of all DfA conditions.“
