On July 4th, the Brianza Design Committee, president Maurizio Riva, met at the Milan Triennale. The objective of the meeting is to present and coordinate the subsequent phases of the project related to the preservation of the craftsmanship of Brianza Como and Milan in order to aggregate the furniture sector, in the various sectors. The number of subscribers was a clear demonstration of the great success and breadth of the initiative: 117 artisans, 735 designers, 128 service companies and suppliers, 36 schools and 3 associations. Brianza Design promoted the initiative "Brianza Design Exhibition" through a competition of ideas dedicated to the design of the "dining area"; 252 projects were presented. The same Claudio De Albertis, director of the Triennale, was visibly interested and proposed to use the headquarters of the Triennale for the exhibition of furniture once made. The meeting was attended by personalities from the world of design and fashion, including: the designer Elio Fiorucci, Carlo Russo, owner of the magazine DDN and Media Partner of Brianza Design, Ilenia Brenna, Director Enaip Cantù, Enrico Tabliabue, president of the company Tabu, Antonella Andriani, ADI Lombardia director. Camilla Segre, public relation for the American firm American hardwood in design by AHEC Europe, a well-known wood producer, was also present; Camilla will act as an intermediary between Riva 1920 and the American company that will make available some of its precious woods for the realization of the prototypes. Thanks above all to the commitment of Maurizio Riva, a dense network of collaborations is being created with the aim of aggregating the furniture sector, in the various sectors: companies that produce and companies that offer services. The common goal is to rediscover the traditional craftsmanship of Brianza, which still gives an added value to "Made in Italy" products.
